Michael Kosarin has enjoyed global success as a conductor, music director, producer, arranger, composer, and pianist for approximately 40 years. He has already received an Emmy for his manifold activities in film, TV, and on stage. Furthermore, he has earned three Grammy nominations. He has collaborated closely with Alan Menken for the past 25 years. As conductor, arranger, and producer, he was involved in the film scores for Disney classics such as POCAHONTAS, HERCULES, and TANGLED, as well as the live-action movies ENCHANTED, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, ALADDIN, and many more. Kosarin is in worldwide demand as a conductor for various live-to-picture concert formats and appears regularly at the Hollywood Bowl and on other prestigious concert stages. He conducts renowned orchestras such as the Boston Pops. Furthermore, Kosarin has cooperated with stars like Kelsey Grammer, Matthew Broderick, Tracey Ullman, Carly Simon, and many more – he is considered to be one of the most successful Broadway conductors. The original Broadway productions he headed include “A Chorus Line”, “Little Shop of Horrors”, “Sister Act”, “Beauty and the Beast”, “Little Mermaid”, and currently “Aladdin”.
