Hollywood in Vienna 2012

The Max Steiner Film Music Achievement Award was presented to Lalo Schifrin, who celebrated his 80th birthday the same year. Schifrin’s unique talent to combine jazz and symphonic music, continues to thrill audiences and critics around the world. His musical theme to Mission Impossible has already made history. His awards include four Grammys (21 nominations), six Academy Award nominations and a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame.
