Emmy Award-winning composer Steven Bramson began his career as an orchestrator for noted film composer Laurence Rosenthal on numerous popular television mini-series including MUSSOLINI, PETER THE GREAT and ANASTASIA. His orchestration credits for film include APOLLO 13, JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH and STARSHIP TROOPERS.
Steve Bramson is probably best known as the composer of over 200 episodes for the American television series JAG for which he received numerous Emmy nominations. Other television series Bramson composed for include YOUNG INDIANA JONES CHRONICLES, THE NINE, JOURNEYMAN and many animated programs for Hanna-Barbera and Warner Bros. Studios. Bramson’s film scores include IN ENEMY HANDS starring William Macy and Til Schweiger and the film, DON MC KAY with actress Elizabeth Shue and Thomas Haden Church.
Most recently he has completed the score to DECODING ANNIE PARKER staring Helen Hunt and Samantha Morton. The movie tells the story of the discovery of the breast cancer gene (BRCA), considered as one of the most important scientific discoveries of the 20th century. Bramson is currently in pre-production for the score to the movie DOMINION based on events in the life of Welsh poet Dylan Thomas.
