Star Wars Suite
A film that needs absolutely no introduction and a score largely responsible for the way films are scored today, Star Wars will forever be held a place of significance in movie history. Williams’ opus of Wagnerian proportions has taken on a life of its own over the years, expanded across six films and gracing concert halls the world over. This finale music from George Lucas’ first installment (later subtitled »Episode IV: A New Hope«) brings the inaugural adventure to a stunning denouement as the heroes are bestowed with medals – to the tune of an Elgar-esque march. The »End Title«, as ever, brings together all of Williams’ major thematic threads from the score, with his iconic main theme, the rebel fanfare and the graceful thematic for Princess Leia playing out over a vast star field.
