E.T. Suite
The universe was no longer an inscrutable mystery, but a world full of opportunity and adventure. This led to the creation of a timeless masterpiece full of topics that are as relevant today as they were back in the 80s. The score composed by John Williams is equally timeless. The pivotal elements in John Williams’ film music always are strong and catchy themes. The main theme of »E.T.« is no exception and you are sure to have heard it before. Williams accompanies it with the subtle, almost supernatural sound of the harp to make the whole magic of the moment tangible.
French harp virtuoso Xavier de Maistre interprets this part in the world premiere of the »E.T. Suite « arranged by Gottfried Rabl and Erich Hofmann. It was created exclusively for »Hollywood in Vienna« and was one the most magical moments of the evening.
