Declared »brilliant« by the Washington Post, violinist Sandy Cameron has performed extensively as a soloist and recitalist throughout North America, Europe, and Asia since her debut with 12 years. At 15, Sandy was a featured guest at the famed White Nights Festival in St. Petersburg, Russia, at the Salzburg Festival in Salzburg, Austria, and at the Verbier Festival in Switzerland. Since then, she has appeared in venues such as New York’s Avery Fisher Hall, the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., Royal Albert Hall in London, and the Adelaide Festival of Arts in Australia, and has made other solo appearances with orchestras such as the Seattle Symphony, San Diego Symphony, Tokyo Philharmonic, and with the National Symphony Orchestra.

From 2011-2013, Sandy performed in Cirque du Soleil’s Los Angeles based show, Iris, where she first met Danny Elfman who had composed the music for Iris. Currently, she is a featured soloist in Danny Elfman's »Music from the Films of Tim Burton« concerts, The Nightmare Before Christmas Live at The Hollywood Bowl, and The Little Mermaid Live at The Hollywood Bowl. Sandy has also performed as a soloist in Tan Dun's Martial Arts Trilogy, and gave the world premiere of Austin Wintory's Assassin Dances.

Sandy has earned numerous awards and honors and graduated from Harvard University in 2009 and New England Conservatory in 2010. A firm believer in giving back to the community, Sandy created her own Music Benefit Fund in 2004, which provided funding for musical education and activity in the schools and community of Poolesville, MD.

The outstanding violin used by Sandy, crafted by Pietro Guarnerius of Venice, c. 1735, is on extended loan through the generous efforts of the Stradivari Society of Chicago.
