AN AMERICAN TAIL tells the story of a family of mice that leave their Russian homeland to escape the oppression of local cats in the belief that there will be no such hardship in the »Land of Dreams«.
Feivel and his family are – however – separated during the crossing. In »Somewhere Out There« James Horner uses simple – yet emotionally strong – harmonies and a moving melody line to paint a picture of unwavering knowledge and feeling that a deep emotional connection can overcome any spatial separation.
