The Day After Tomorrow

This disaster epic was something of a stark warning about climate change and – in turn – another chance for director Roland Emmerich to destroy New York City on celluloid. Joining him for the adventure was Austrian composer Harald Kloser. The »Main Title« features a simple horn and string melody, accented by snare percussion, which becomes something of a stirring anthem for the survival of mankind – hope in the face of apocalypse. Since »The Day After Tomorrow«, Kloser has also become Emmerich’s composer of choice with the following disaster 2012 which also destroyed the world.
